چکیده

We numerically study the spatially-resolved NMR around a single vortex in a noncentrosymmetric superconductor such as CePt3Si. The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate T −1 1 under the influence of the vortex core states is calculated for an s+ p-wave Cooper pairing state. The result is compared with that for an s-wave pairing state.

Evidence for time-reversal symmetry breaking in the noncentrosymmetric superconductor LaNiC2.

Muon spin relaxation experiments on the noncentrosymmetric intermetallic superconductor LaNiC2 are reported. We find that the onset of superconductivity coincides with the appearance of spontaneous magnetic fields, implying that in the superconducting state time-reversal symmetry is broken. An analysis of the possible pairing symmetries suggests only four triplet states compatible with this obs...

Magnetic response of noncentrosymmetric superconductor La2C3 : Effect of double-gap and spin-orbit interaction

The presence of spin-orbit (SO) interaction in a noncentrosymmetric superconductor, La2C3 (Tc ≃ 11 K) is demonstrated by muon spin rotation (μSR) in its normal state, where μSR spectra exhibit field-induced weak depolarization due to van Vleck-like local susceptibility. In the mixed state, muon spin relaxation due to inhomogeneity of internal field (σv) exhibits a field dependence that is chara...

Characterizing Fluid Presence and Transport in Rock Cores at Reservoir-like Conditions via Spatially Resolved Nmr Relaxation/diffusion Maps

The properties of fluids saturating rocks depend strongly on temperature and pressure. Therefore, ambient laboratory conditions may not be desirable for the investigation of fluids in reservoir rocks. To mimic the reservoir, a pressurized and temperature controlled (overburden) cell, compatible with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), was assembled within a 2 MHz NMR Rock Core Analyzer. 1D NMR re...

Monitoring fast reactions by spatially-selective and frequency-shifted continuous NMR spectroscopy: application to rapid-injection protein unfolding.

The repetition rate of an NMR experiment is usually limited by the longitudinal relaxation times of the investigated molecule. Here we show that continuous excitation and data acquisition, without any interscan delay, is possible by a spatially resolved experiment where different nuclei are excited in consecutive scans.

Spin-density wave near the vortex cores in the high-temperature superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y.

Competition with magnetism is at the heart of high-temperature superconductivity, most intensely felt near a vortex core. To investigate vortex magnetism we have developed a spatially resolved probe based upon NMR spin-lattice-relaxation spectroscopy. With this approach we have found a spin-density wave associated with the vortex core in Bi(2)Sr(2)CaCu(2)O(8+y), similar to checkerboard patterns...
